  Tips:   You will need:

To open a jumpring, push one end forward & one end back. Avoid enlarging the circle by prying the ends further apart, as this weakens the metal.
To increase the size of the bracelet, use more 5mm crystals & lengthen chainmail.
  • 46 x 5mm Rhombic Swarovski Crystals
or 23 each of 2 colours.
  • 8 x 4mm Rhombic Swarovski Crystals
  • 48 x 6mm Nickel Jump rings
  • 142 x 5mm Nickel Jump rings.
  • 1 Fob clasp
  • Tigertail Thread
  • 4 Crimps
  • Chainnose Pliers
  • Bentnose Pliers
  • Crimping Tools
  • Wire cutters

1.
Close all the 5mm jump rings and open all the 6mm jump rings.
2.
Slide six 5mm jump rings on a 6mm jump ring.
Close the 6mm jump ring.
3.
Repeat the path with a second 6mm jump ring. Close the 6mm jump ring.

4.
Pick up a 6mm jump ring, go through the two centre 5mm jump rings from the previous step, and pick up six 5mm jump rings. Close the 6mm jump ring.

5.
Repeat the path with a second 6mm jump ring.

6.
Repeat steps 4 and 5 until you have 20 pairs of 6mm jump rings. To add the last pair of 6mm jumprings, pick up only four 5mm jump rings in step 4.

7.
Cut two 30cm pieces of Tigertail Thread. On each end, string a crimp bead and the corresponding loop of the clasp. Go back through the crimp beads. Crimp the crimp beads and trim the tails.

8.
String a colour A 4mm crystal and a colour B 4mm crystal and the next two 5mm jump rings.

9. Continue adding 5mm crystals (alternating colour A and B crystals) until you reach the last two 5mm jump rings. String two 4mm crystals, and a crimp bead. Secure the end of the wire with tape.

10. On the second wire, repeat steps 8 and 9, but don’t secure the end with tape. Remove the tape from the first wire. String the wires through the corresponding loops of the other half of the clasp. Go back through the crimp beads, but don’t crimp them yet.
11. Close the clasp, and check the tension. There should be space between the crystals so the chain does not bunch up when worn. Crimp the crimp beads, and trim the tails.
